Objective: Initially, the operator had installed a traditional rod pump on this well. However, the rod pump frequently failed due to tubing and rod wear, resulting in a workover every three to four weeks. They asked JJ Tech to install a conventional 2.8 Jet Pump, with a low-cost 30 HP diaphragm surface skid.
Results: The JJ Tech D35 has been lifting the well since April 2008. We were able to take this operator from producing 180 BPD to 300 BPD.
Advantages of Jet Pump vs. Rod Pump
• Jet pump can treat power fluid with corrosion/scale inhibitors.
• Jet pump has no moving parts downhole.
• Jet pump can produce high volumes of fluid.
• Software can calculate PBHP based on production volumes.
