Objective: Initially the operator had installed a traditional, rod pump on this well. However, the rod pump frequently failed due to tubing and rod wear, resulting in a work over every three to four weeks. It was agreed, that JJ Tech would install a conventional 2.8 Jet Pump, with a low cost 30 HP diaphragm surface skid.
Results: This JJ Tech D35 has been lifting the well since April 2008. We were able to take this operator from producing 180 BPD to 300 BPD.
Advantages of Jet Pump vs. Rod Pump
• Ability to treat power fluid with corrosion / scale inhibitors
• No moving parts down-hole
• Can produce high volumes of fluid
• Software can calculate PBHP based on production volumes
